Currently reading: A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold 📚

This one is a long time coming.

Finished reading: Where the Deer and the Antelope Play by Nick Offerman 📚

An outstanding book, anything that brings up Ed Abbey, Neil Young, former members of Uncle Tupelo, and talks nature with humor rolled in is good by me.

I’m still thinking about doing a microcast but I’m not sure on the topic yet. I’m currently leaning towards just reading one of the long-form posts off the blog with a little intro or thought on it.

I am consolidating all my blogs to MicroBlog. I made a table of contents to find my favorites quickly and also added a separate menu category for my military memories. If y’all don’t mind checking it out, any input on how to do it better would be great.

I was in a devotional for the children and youth of New York City this evening. These things always get me inspired and bring a lot of reflection. But, unfortunately, this dwindles off quickly, and life starts to distract me again. Now here is the thing. I seldom share anything spiritual or faith-based. I fear I may offend and be ostracized by the community (any community, for that matter). I’m not talking proselytizing, but sharing thoughts, ideas, asking questions, and so on.

As always, I am thinking about improving the blogging experience and consolidating. I was hoping others would share their ideas on organizing content here on MicroBlog. Should I make an index to find long posts I think are essential or favorites? It may work better than the archive. I don’t have a lot now, but microposts can make things disappear quickly. But my other blogs are basically dedicated to long-form. So maybe a manually created index would be best.

Finally got some snow here in Staten Island.

I have three blogs, each with an individual ability to subscribe. I’m wondering if I should keep it that way or use something like Revue to consolidate a newsletter with items from all three? Will the tweaking never end… 🤣😂🤣

Why has no one made the pencil sharpener key chain? This item is direly needed.

I’m three days into 2022, and I think I’m giving up on my Bullet Journal. Not that I’m giving up journaling, not at all. I realize that the modular method of my Lochby is preferable. It seems sloppy to try to calendar, write, and sketch under one book. I prefer one cover with multiple books inside; one for scheduling, one for writing, and one for projects, notes, and miscellaneous babbling to myself.
